2 sections each 5m high are the back drop to an outdoor Healing Garden. Separated by a water feature with a garden bed below the outdoor space becomes a nice place to be.
Although the wall is north facing it is shaded by a roof and the hospital building.
Using fully shaded plants with an orange flowering Clivia providing a focal point.
With growing evidence coming from research that show patients recovery times are reduced when exposed to living plants more and more hospitals and healthcare facilities are looking at ways of incorporating gardens into where their patients can have access to gardens. A vertical garden creates a wow factor and saves on floor space.
